What the design editor can do
YouTube thumbnails, Instagram posts and stories, banners and previews — 16 ready-made social media sizes or your own. Text with outline, shadow and highlight, shapes, lines and arrows, 450 icons, photos with cropping and background removal, layers and groups, alignment and snapping to edges and centers.
Fonts are picked to match the script of your text: Latin and Cyrillic, Arabic, Devanagari and Bengali, Thai, Burmese, Sinhala, Georgian and Armenian, Chinese characters and Japanese kana. The finished design downloads as PNG or JPG with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions
Where are my designs stored?
Only in this browser on this device: every edit saves itself, and the list is in “My designs”. They won’t be in another browser, a private window or on your phone. Before moving, press “Download all designs as one file” and open that file in the new place. On an iPhone, make such a copy regularly: Safari erases a site’s data if you don’t visit it for a week.
What size do I need for a YouTube thumbnail?
1280 × 720 pixels — that’s the ready-made “YouTube thumbnail” size; there’s also 4K, 3840 × 2160. From a phone, YouTube accepts thumbnails up to 2 MB, so the “Download” window picks the JPG quality to fit and tells you what it got. Uploading from a computer? Tick that in the window — the limit is higher there.
What sizes are there for Instagram and other social networks?
Posts 1080 × 1080 and 1080 × 1350, profile grid 1080 × 1440, stories 1080 × 1920, Facebook, VK and LinkedIn covers, X and LinkedIn posts, a Pinterest pin and a YouTube channel banner. Need another size? Set the width and height yourself.
How do I remove the background from a photo?
Select the photo on the canvas and press “Remove background”. The first time, a neural network (42 MB) downloads to your device; after that it’s taken from the browser cache, and the photo itself is never sent anywhere. Undo brings the photo back with its background.
How do I move a design to another computer?
“File → Download project file” saves the design together with its photos as one .bkdesign file. On the other device, open the design editor and press “Open project file”, or just drag the file onto the page. If a messenger renamed the file, it still opens.
Does the design editor work on a phone?
Yes. Tools are in the bottom bar, properties in a sheet at the bottom, and you move and zoom the canvas with your fingers. Very large photos are scaled down when added: Safari on iPhone won’t draw a canvas larger than 16.7 megapixels.
Are my photos and texts uploaded anywhere?
No. The design is built and stored in your browser, and the browser also prepares the file you download: photos and texts are not sent to a server.
Does the design editor work offline?
Yes, once you’ve opened it in this browser with an internet connection: the page and the editor are kept in the browser, and your designs are stored there anyway. Offline you can’t download the background-removal neural network if it hasn’t been downloaded yet, or fonts you haven’t used before.
Are there templates, and can I change them?
Yes. The start screen has templates for holidays, sales, birthdays and announcements, plus video thumbnails, right away in the language of the page. Everything is free and has no watermark: any element can be deleted, recolored or replaced with your own photo. “My business” — your logo, name and contact — is stored only in this browser and appears in holiday templates by itself.

Yes, this tool is free and needs no sign-up. Your file is processed right in your browser and is not uploaded to a server. There are no watermarks.
