How much smaller will the file get?
It depends on the source video, but you can usually expect a 2–5x reduction while keeping acceptable quality.
Will quality get worse?
With balanced settings, the loss is barely noticeable. For maximum compression, pick the "Compact size" quality mode.
Can I compress several videos at once?
Yes, upload multiple files — they'll process as a batch, and you can download the results as one ZIP.
Why are there so few formats to choose from?
We kept only the ones that really make the file smaller. MP4 works everywhere, HEVC gives a smaller size at the same quality, and WebM suits websites. The others had to go: MKV only changes the packaging and does not compress video, while older codecs look worse at the same size. Compression takes a long time, and we do not want you to wait an hour and get the same size. You can upload any video — MKV, AVI, MOV and others.
Is it free to use?
Yes, completely free and no sign-up needed. The tool runs entirely in your browser: the file never goes to a server, so the server spends neither CPU nor traffic — there is nothing to charge for. No watermarks, no limits on file size or count.
